Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Business Development Loan Officer located in Kingston. As a Business Development Loan Officer, your day-to-day tasks will involve identifying and developing new business opportunities, assessing loan applications, analyzing financial information, maintaining customer relationships, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
- Be responsible for meeting monthly loan targets.
- Find, build, and maintain relationships with business owners, entrepreneurs, and referral sources to generate a consistent pipeline of loan leads.
- Provide detailed information to clients about available loan programs, eligibility requirements, and lending terms, ensuring a thorough understanding of loan options.
- Evaluate loan applications, reviewing financial documents to determine loan feasibility.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including credit analysts and underwriters, to facilitate the loan evaluation and approval process.
- Conduct site visits and gather on-site information to support loan evaluations and risk assessments.
- Monitor and maintain relationships with existing clients, offering ongoing support and identifying opportunities for additional lending services.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify potential business growth opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver insightful presentations to potential clients and industry groups to promote loan products and services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in sales, banking, or working with a financial institution. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and referral sources. 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, resulting in successful business outcomes. 

  • Self-motivated and target-oriented, with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales goals. 

  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

  • Have a current driver’s license 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions to meet clients' financing needs.
